New York Plans to Ban Sale of Big Sizes of Sugary Drinks
Why? To fight obesity? Stop. If people can’t take responsibility for their own actions, they deserve to be obese. Stop trying to protect me from myself. I should have the right to buy and drink whatever size diabetes-inducing drink I want.
I don’t drink that much soda. Want to know why? It’s not good for you. Look how easy that is.
When does this stop becoming a free country and start becoming a padded cell? I’m all for laws to keep order and protect people from real danger - danger they can’t, themselves, prevent. But don’t doubt my intelligence. Don’t think I’m so helpless that I can’t make decisions for myself.

Plead excuse me while I drool all over my screen.

For all who read this without knowing me, know that I’m sitting on the line between fascinated and obsessed with the history of communication. Specifically, old phones. I want this so bad.

Tell me I don’t make the coolest trophies from crap laying around the house. This little Captain Epocrates is for a peer to peer award given out each month at my job. Since I won last time, it was my turn to award it to Brian. Lucky dog. Who wouldn’t want a little bobble head stuck in a wine glass sitting on their desk?

I was antique shopping, hoping to find a candle stick phone in decent shape. I did, but it was $160. Too rich for my blood. So I bought a typewriter instead.
The only typewriter I’ve ever owned (pre-computers) was electronic and I was around 5. I may have to get my parents to help me change the ribbon. Something my future kids won’t even know the meaning of.

I give up.

I can’t just be an observer. Experiment over.

The more I learn about how to make a site look good on mobile, the less tolerant I become with sites that don’t.

Nerd problems.

Teaching people things makes me unreasonably happy

Probably should have been a teacher. :)

About

About the process of becoming a legitimate designer

I'm Chelsey with a Y. I do design, art direction, actual art, web, mobile, and social media. This is my web log to think and explain about my attempt to be a "real " designer in the real" world. And later laugh at myself
